How to Use a CDM
Most modern CDMs give you two ways to handle your deposit: using your debit card or doing a cardless transaction.
Authenticate yourself：Card or Cardless
With a card: Insert your debit card and enter your PIN just like a normal withdrawal.
Cardless: Tap "Cardless Deposit" on the screen and type in the destination bank account number. Some machines will also text a One-Time Password (OTP) to your phone for verification.
Select 'Deposit'：Choose transaction type
Pick the Cash Deposit option on the screen. The machine will open a protective shutter, revealing a slot or tray for your cash.
Insert the cash：No envelopes needed
Place your stack of bills cleanly into the slot. Modern machines do not need an envelope. Ensure the bills are unfolded, unclipped, and free of rubber bands.
Verify and confirm：Check the breakdown
The machine will take a few seconds to sort, scan, and count your cash. It will then display a breakdown on the screen (e.g., 5 x $20, 2 x $50). If the math looks right, tap Confirm.
Take your receipt：Keep for your records
The machine will close its tray, securely lock your cash in an internal vault, and print a receipt. Keep this receipt until you confirm the money has cleared in your mobile banking app.
